Jared,
Son, I can't believe that you are going to be 5 years old this Saturday. Where have those 5 years gone? This fall you'll be starting kindergarten. What am I doing with a child that's getting ready to go to school? Well you are in preschool now so I guess you are kind of already in school. I remember one day, you and Aryn and I were sitting at the table eating breakfast and I asked you, what did you have on your plate today(basically wanting to know what you were doing today) You looked up and thought for a minute and kind of looked at me like I was stupid and then you smiled and said, "waffles." We all cracked up laughing. (Of course I didn't dare ask your sister because you know right now, she is your little echo.... everything you do or say, she will attempt to do or say it too.

She loves you so much and looks up to you already. Of course y'all hardly ever want to share with each other and you are always trying to "sucker" her out of a toy that you want to play with, but there are also many times when you and Aryn will sit and play together for an hour with no problems. It reminds me of how me and your Uncle Marc and Tia (that's Danielle) use to play with me while I was in one of my 3 hour long Gi Joe vs. Star Wars play sessions.

Last week I mentioned to you that you I used to play with matchbox cars just like you and your eyes lit up when I said I had almost 500 cars! You love cars and your favorite movie these days is still Cars so when I said that you went in on this 3 minute rant about out how you have tons of cars too and some were at home and some were at your G-Moms.....lol You're so funny.

I notice how you love it when I tell you about the things that you used to do when you were a baby...as I tell you, it's like you are trying to envision yourself actually doing it. I told you that you were addicted to your winnie the pooh and tigger pacifiers and how they'd fall behind your crib and we'd be looking for them.

One of the funniest things I have seen you do recently was when we were in Walmart on the frozen food aisle, out of no where you just broke out in your "holy dance" and just WENT IN! you were tearing that floor up like it was nobody's business... I could barely contain myself because it was so random and so unexpected... Then you and I did the same thing at church last Friday, in the Lobby and everyone was laughing at you because you looked so funny stomping all over the place.

You're a blast to have around and you are a blessing to me. As I always tell you, you are my favorite son in the whole world...you're the best! We're gonna have lots of fun this next year, I can tell already!
